FAQ's

  • How do you charge for you service?
    R&R Wedding Cars charge by the hour, based on your requirements from pick up location, to ceremony location and potentially onto a reception location, you may also want location photos as well, we take all this information from you and workout timings based on 1, 2 or 3 hour hire. Mileage is charged additional if outside of the 15 mile radius of registered address Hancock Close, Somerset, TA4 2EU For example if it simply just one trip from pick up to one location we would see this as an hour minimum hire, to be at your location 30 minutes beforehand, take you to your destination could be local or a little further, which would equate to an hour. If you require for example pick up, then taken to a ceremony location such as a church or registry location then onto a reception location, we have to factor in the same as above plus waiting at your ceremony location while this is happening then taking you onto the reception which can be roughly 2-3 hours. Additional to the above you may want to spend some time 30-45 minutes having some location photos as well, this would then equate in total to 3-4 hours.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    We accept all of the following methods of payment: bank transfer, card payment online via stripe. We also offer monthly payment plans which can be discussed and agreed.
  • Are there any mileage limitations?
    When you book there are no mileage limits, unless the journey is more than 15-miles from Wiveliscombe, Somserset. In such circumstances we would agree an additional fee to cover this mileage before you book with us. So all your costs are known about before you commit to using us.
  • What happens if I need to cancel our booking?
    If you cancel your booking before paying the deposit (due within 7-days of booking) then the deposit will not be payable. If you cancel your booking after paying the deposit, as per R&R Wedding Cars Terms and Conditions, we will retain the deposit. If you cancel your booking after paying the final amount (due 14 days before the wedding) we will retain all the fees paid to-date. Please see our Terms and Conditions HERE for full details.
  • What are your booking and payment terms?
    When booking a car, an invoice will be issued to you via email, if booking 1 car a £50 non-refundable deposit will be required if booking 2 cars a £75 non-refundable deposit either will be required within 7 days of booking, this deposit will then be deducted from the final balance which is due 14 days before the wedding date. If you would like to spread out the payments then we can discuss the arrangements that best suit your requirements.
  • Can I book last minute?
    If R&R Wedding Cars has a car and driver available then you can book a wedding car up until the day before the wedding. Please send us a message as soon as possible if you are in this position.
  • What happens if we can't fulfil your booking?
    R&R Wedding Cars only accepts bookings that it can fulfil and has never been in this situation. If before the day an issue arises with your chosen car that cannot be resolved before your wedding then we will source and pay for a car of an equivalent standard. Should this situation arise you will be kept informed as the matter progresses.
  • Who will be doing the driving?
    This will be either Richard or Rebecca who run R&R Wedding Cars or alternately if we are unavailable we have other drivers on our books that can be available for us on request.
  • What is included in our wedding car service?
    The car you book from us will be available for all the journeys you require from the beginning of the wedding day until the start of the wedding reception. This will include all the time and mileage required for these journeys, which can include: groom to ceremony, bridesmaids to ceremony, bride to ceremony and bride and groom to reception. The only exceptions to this are (1) If any of the journeys are outside a 15-mile radius of Plymouth, in which case additional charge may apply or (2) If the logistics of the day dictate that more than one car is required, in which case the second car will attract an additional charge. An example of this is where it is too far to drive the bridesmaids to the wedding ceremony and then return for the bride.
  • What if it rains on the wedding day?
    In each of the cars we offer we provide 2 clear umbrellas that can be used to help protect passengers as they make the way to the ceremony or reception doors.
  • Will the car(s) be used for any other weddings on the same day?
    R&R Wedding Cars will only do one wedding per day, so you can be assured we will not be rushing off to attend another wedding in between or directly offer allowing you to relax about timings.
  • Can we have photos after the ceremony with the car(s)?
    Of course that is no problem at all. The car(s) you have booked will remain with you for as long as you require until the start of the wedding reception and there won’t be any charge for this. It is all included in the fee we agree before you book. We don't have any hidden charges.
  • Can I view the cars before booking?
    We very much welcome a viewing of both of the cars at our home location before you finally decide on which one(s) you want for the special day. Alternately we to attend local wedding shows within Devon and Somerset so this is also a good opportunity to meet us and see the cars.
  • Are there any drinks included in your wedding day service?
    Yes, included are 2 x small bottles of bubbly with 2 x small glasses in the main bridal/grooms car to enjoy after your ceremony, while in the car or at any location with photos for example. 2 x bottles of water are also included in each car if hiring 1 or 2 cars. Alternately if you would like something different please let us know by messaging us, such as Coke, lemonade etc. Please message us to ask and we will let you know how much this would cost as part of the service.
  • Do you offer location photos?
    Yes, please let us know when enquiring whether you would like to in any part of your day have us take you somewhere for location photos, to enjoy being newlyweds for a short period away from the party. We find people choose locations that mean something to them, but we can also suggest locations as well that could be suitable if your stuck for ideas.
  • Do you carry a first kit?
    Each car has a first aid kit within it. Richard one of the drivers is also first aid trained.
  • How old are your wedding cars?
    Both cars were registered in 2018 and offer modern luxury.
  • Are ribbons for the car included?
    Yes. Not only do ribbons come as standard but if you would like us to, we will find the closest match to the colour theme of your wedding. If you would like a customized message on them please message us as this will be an additional fee and a price will be quoted based on requirements.
  • Will there by any flower decorations in the car?
    We have created a window silk flower arrangement which we include as standard as part of the service. If you wish to have fresh flowers please message us and we can provide a quote for this based on your requirements with a local florist.
  • Can you transport childen?
    Yes, if they are under 12 years old we require you provide a car seat for them which we can help fit in the car(s) on the day. We ask that an adult over the age of 18 be present in the car if transporting children under 18 years of age.
  • Do your car(s) have air conditioning?
    Yes, both cars have this. The Jaguar XJ also comes with heated and cooled seats in the front and rear of the car for extra comfort on those hot or cold days.
  • What cars do you have?
    We have 2 cars - White Jaguar XJ - Red Jaguar F pace Both can seat 4 people in each car.
  • Who valets the car(s)?
    Richard who owns and runs R&R Wedding Cars has his own extensive car cleaning regime and kit to ensure they are cleaned and polished to the highest standard possible. We never take it anywhere for this and do all our own valet of the cars.
  • Do you have wedding car hire and public liability insurance?
    Yes. we have hire and reward car insurance which includes public liability insurance for both cars. Please let us know if you require proof of these, this can be asked upon request
  • Are you licensed to provide wedding car hire services?
    The law does not require a licence to provide wedding car services. Anyone with a car that has a valid MOT and the correct insurance can use it for weddings.
  • What locations do you cover?
    We are based in Somerset UK, but we mainly cover all of Devon, Somerset & Dorset
  • Where is R&R Wedding Cars based?
